I currently teach on the Foundation and BA(hons) degrees in Tourism and Hospitality. Modules I teach include Personal Development Planning, Marketing, Conference and Event Management, various Tourism and Hospitality related modules, Dissertation Study Skills, Tutorial, etc. I also coordinate the dissertations, am a personal tutor for the BA(hons) final year students and help organise field trips and complete a variety of activities that support my manager and the team. Other duties include marking, quality management and lesson preparation.

During my time as the Marketing Officer at Brighton, I was responsible for the marketing of the School of Service Management and the courses (FdA, BA, MA and PhD) that the School offers. This included domestic as well as international marketing, web updates, attending exhibitions, school/college visits, supervising student ambassadors, organising open days and working with the overall marketing department and external partners in order to create marketing publications. If necessary I also helped out during the Clearing and general admissions process.

My main tasks were checking UCAS applications for our BA students, MA applications and also working during open days. Giving advice, being available for clearing and liaising with the teaching team was also a huge part of the position. Additionally, I liaised with the Registry and UCAS for any issues that occured before and during enrolment and at other times during the year.

The post of usherette at Eastbourne Theatres includes direct contact with customers, cash handling and being aware of health and safety issues during public events. As most of my shifts are in the evenings I am used to working unsociable hours.

During my time as the TDA at EBC I helped to work on their then new seafront strategy, helped to collate marketing informaton. I also attended a variety of exhibitons and conferences in Germany where we sold East Sussex as a tourist destination.
