I had a hand-over of 1 week and from then on held sole responsibility for managing the end-to-end Talent Acquisition Process from approval to contract signature, using PageUp. I serviced all sectors in construction as well as operations. During the 7 months, I signed around 60 contracts and managed on average 20-25 roles simultaneously. This means if you don’t have a job for your temp you still have to pay them their wage - or have to fire them in time (with legal binding notice periods the same as any other permanent employee).When I took on the role, fresh off the boat from Australia, I was faced with a branch that had 2 managers in 2 years, each of them had started their own company taking the best clients and candidates with them.The local market had lost trust in the brand, two new internal staff were looking for guidance and direction, and we only had 10 blue-collar contractors. After two years we had grown to 6 internal staff, averaged 80 external temps with a margin of 28%(up from 18%), we had established a white-collar temp desk and became Germany’s best performing permanent placement division. I was promoted to mentor other Branch Managers and moved into Key-Account Management. -
