About Bishop Brock

I currently serve as the Head of Research at STAC - The Strategic Technology Analysis Center - where I am responsible for overseeing the delivery of research, benchmark standards, and software tools that meet the needs of STAC's expanding community. I came to STAC having developed STAC benchmark solutions for multiple platforms, and contributing to new STAC benchmark specifications.With over 30 years of research roles at Computational Logic, Inc., IBM Research and State Street, I have enjoyed the opportunity to contribute to diverse computing disciplines including large-systems architecture and performance analysis, embedded and firmware ecosystems, energy management, automated reasoning and formal verification, electronic design automation, computational finance and distributed shared ledgers (blockchain). I have co-authored 35+ technical publications and hold 21 US patents in these areas. While at IBM Research I was honored to be named an IBM Master Inventor in 2015. I am also a Sr. Member of the IEEE, and passed the CFA Level III exam in June 2019.
