I am a (primarily) Java developer, passionate about innovating with emerging technologies, automation and analytics and focused on architecting and developing with the Amazon Web Services ecosystem. Recent and relevant experiences include: - Developing a multi-tenant platform that ingests and processes different log types using services such as EC2 (AutoScale Groups, Launch Templates, Spot Instances), Athena, EKS, Kinesis, SNS/SQS. - Leveraging Natural Language Processing and location mapping to process free-text and extract and resolve geolocation and temporal references.My personal interests surround using country-level data from various API's and processing news articles (Open Source Intelligence) to extract and model geopolitical relationships inherent within the reporting. Developing this capability using AWS cloud services is where my inner-geek really comes out!In addition to my software development experience, I have a decade of private sector experience working in the logistics industry where I have gained in-depth exposure to most facets of business management (including general management, P&L, human resources and operations). I would love to bring those experiences along with my foreign travel / international savvy, and degree in international commerce to my employer, team and company culture.
