I am an aspiring mechanical engineer who believes in dichotomous thinking with research experience in manufacturing science and engineering. Currently, I am doing my doctoral research at IIT Guwahati. My research is related to developing an induction assistive welding process for weld quality improvement for thick sheets. I have acquired expertise in FE-based 3D simulation of coupled electromagnetic-heat transfer analysis, coil design and fabrication for ultrasonic frequency induction heating applications. In addition to that, I have acquired material characterisation skills using EBSD and FETEM analysis. I have one patent granted and three designs registered under the Indian Patent Office. Apart from that, I have three published research articles and two book chapters.Software skills: Solid Works, COMSOL, Origin, Image J, TSL OIM, Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Visio, Excel, Powerpoint)Expertise in equipment handling: Authorised technical operator with two-year of experience in the FESEM and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy characterisation, High-frequency Induction heating system (Preheating, welding, cladding and additive manufacturing), K-PAW welding and Wire cut EDM.
