My expertise is in computational stochastic optimization which studies how to numerically solve complex decision problems dealing with uncertainty. In ECEE at ASU, I have employed a statistical multiresolutional framework to analyze the non-stationary and fractional behavior of wind power process in order to explicitly model its future scenarios using stochastic approximation algorithm. More recently, I have developed a novel formulation to dynamically model the unit commitment problem under uncertainty that both maintains the attributes of the classical problem and is computationally efficient. I also have designed a new dynamic approach for economic dispatch problem in which reserve capacities are captured in the distributionally robust scenarios of schedules.

My work experience includes implementation of the Multistage Stochastic Optimization model in Thermal and Hydroelectric operations while I was collaborating in a project with Siemens Austria. Performance monitoring using BSC, DEA and BPM techniques in Isfahan Petrochemical co.

I was actively involved in implementing advanced statistical methods in analyzing the monthly and annually performances. I was always in close collaboration with the other departments compiling and analyzing statistical data and generating statistical analysis. I was representing TSWPD in the IT committee of Tehran Regional Electric Co. As an active member of the budgeting committee, I collaborated and gave consultation to the finance department regarding advanced budgeting methods. I was responsible for auditing and monitoring execution contracts using specialized software. I was a permanent appointee to prepare and present the annual performance report of the board of directors to the general assembly of shareholders. I was always ready to carry out any other tasks assigned by the relevant superiors for both improving my qualifications and technical skills and help improving the general performance of the company.
