Engineering lead for our acquisitions initiative. This includes managing multiple managers over 3 teams with 20+ engineers. Our teams focus on support growth marketing. This includes a feed team that builds real time streams with Kafka to push out 100M+ listing updates for our marketing teams to use for advertisement offsite, an audience and signals team which focuses on leveraging data from our partners and onsite to help improve performance and build targeted audiences, and channel optimization team which is focusing on multi-touch attribution, marketing mix modeling, and bid optimization. We are also focusing on ways to leverage ML and generative AI to improve our feeds and help better optimize. This position pairs heavily with product, marketing, analytics, data science, and finance to continue to leverage our data to improve our efficiency and increase our GMS.

Initiative Lead: Manage multiple teams including managers under our AdTech Initiative. AdTech partners with our performance marketing teams to support our Offsite Advertisement. Our teams manage syndicating our 100M+ listings to partners like Google, Facebook, Bing, Pinterest, etc as well as managing our attribution pipeline.Responsible for the long term strategy of our initiative, making sure our teams are executing on that strategy, and external vendor and stakeholder management. I work closely with our directors in Marketing and Product to align on strategy and represent our engineering needs and long term plans.

I have managed a few different tracks of work over my time here...Offsite Listing Feeds team - We partner with marketing to syndicate our products to Google, Facebook, and other marketplaces. The team's focus is to continue building out new feeds as well as finding ways to iterate and improve our current feeds through experimentation. The system is comprised of a complex architecture that handles millions of item changes as well as handling constant currency updates. We leverage systems from our CDC, into Kafka Stream, and out via our Sender APIs.Marketing Content Team - Our focus was to help build tooling to improve the experience for marketing. This included work around our community forum, updating our react tooling for merchandising that manages advertising content, and building seller tools in react that enable them to automatically adopt sitewide sales. Events and Promotions Team - Our focus was to increase retention through our events and promotions project. This included experimentation around different events and promotions and how they are marketed to bring folks back. We also built a number of tools to help seller adoption.

Worked on a number of teams over the years from... Etsy Listing Page Team where I helped build out and experiment with new features. One of which was the introduction to signals and nudges which was the most successful experiment to date at that time. We introduced signals on the listing page like (in N carts, only one remaining, etc) Though the front end was simple, the backend being sharded provided a fun challenge to present up to date accurate information.Etsy Wholesale was focused on improving our wholesale system which was leverage by top sellers to have the option to create wholesale offerings. Similarly focused on full stack and building out APIs. Etsy Manufacturing which focused on building out a new system to help sellers find local manufactures to sustainably source work. This work was primarily full stack development and included work with Elastic Search and Solr to help match sellers with local manufactures.

Lead a number of software projects, and manage a development team at Earthling. Duties include architecture for software projects, Project Management, Full Stack Development, Server Administration, and mentoring of junior developers.
