I am currently the Director of Information Technology Services for the King County Library System, I oversee four teams that make up the technology services for KCLS serving staff and patrons' needs in a variety of ways. I am a strong pro-open-source advocate and am pleased to say that KCLS supports the Evergreen community along with other initiatives. Technology continues to serve a critical role in meeting patron's needs and open-source projects allow us to do so in both a cost-effective manner as well as in a way that betters the way other library systems around the world are utilizing systems. I have over a decade of experience in a wide range of maintenance, installation, and technology systems support. On the telecommunications side, I began my career supporting a legacy Nortel CS1000 and Callpilot and have managed the transition to a new Avaya IPOffice and Avaya Messaging solution for a 1000-seat solution. My audio-visual background includes full installation from design, running cable, implementation, and training from small training rooms to full gymnasiums and auditoriums. Additionally, I have significant experience working with non-profit organizations, serving as a board member and treasurer for a 10+ million dollar non-profit organization since 2014. Through that, I began working with Association Options providing non-profit consulting for board governance and strategic planning.
