Key Responsibilities • Tendering and Estimating of Mining, Bulk Earthworks and Civil Projects• Monthly certification and reconciliation of contracts• Project Planning and Scheduling• Maintaining required level of performance with regards to Key Performance Indicators• Management of all Civil Construction Projects• Overseeing scheduled and planned maintenance of construction equipment• Ensuring timeous procurement for project resources• Review for approval all contractual correspondence• Mine Planning and Scheduling• Compiling all subcontractors and suppliers service agreements• Management of subcontractors and their employees• Compiling blast designs• Overseeing all survey and measurement functions• Compiling monthly management reports• Ensuring compliance to all Safety, Health, Environmental and Community governance.• Maintaining public and customer relations.• Meeting with all stakeholder on a regular basis• Human Relations management• Facilitating union negotiations and maintaining labour relations

Operations: - Cost effective planning for construction operations.- Scheduling and planning all resources taking into account project allowable.- Manage and recruit subcontractors as and when required.- Communication and liaising with all foremen and employees.- Providing foremen and employees with all relevant information at the start of each job and assisting with site setup.- Rapid response to plant breakdowns ensuring speedy & cost effective repairs.- Control and monitoring of the fuel consumption and hours worked of relevant plant.- Ensure good housekeeping and maintenance of all equipment and site camps.- Following up customer queries and complaints and attend site meetings.- Conducting routine site inspections.- Manage procurement of all materials and equipment and ensure proper use thereof.- Management of Quality control of completed works and raw materials purchased.- Compilation of weekly output and utilisation reports.- Preparation of monthly invoices and certificates and obtain approval from clients.
