Bill has been responsible for developing, launching and managing Actian's Software’s DataCloud. Actian's DataCloud represents a multipurpose platform focused on data integration, validation, analytics and other data centric services. The Actian DataCloud also offers partners of SaaS and on premise software a way to offer connectivity to other mission critical applications. Finally the Actian DataCloud is one of the leading ETL platforms offered as a service to assist in moving data of all sizes and type throughout the cloud and in to and out of on premise repositories.

Bill provides leadership and guidance for Pervasive's cloud based services platform (DataCloud). The first offering, Pervasive DataCloud® 2, is a secure and reliable on-demand services platform powered by Amazon Web Services. The DataCloud2 platform provides developers access to engines and workflows, core data services as well as rich composite data services in a secure and programmable API. The Pervasive DataCloud2 also provides a suite of development and management tools.As the Sr. Director Bill manages the budgets, road map, marketing and is a major evangelist for Pervasive's cloud based efforts. Bill is driving to expand the Pervasive cloud presence with current and future platforms and partners.

Bill has been responsible for developing, launching and managing Pervasive Software’s DataSolutions Division. Pervasive DataSolutions Division produces packaged integration solutions delivered to business consumers. The products are delivered using software as a service (SaaS) delivery models. Bill’s highly innovative team is the spearhead for Pervasive Software as they enter this market, on both technology and business fronts.

Sr. Director of both Professional Services and Pre-Sales Engineers, responsiable for a $8M+ budget. Increased professional services revenue by over 10% year to year in relation to billable services while company revenue was flat or declining. Increased professional services utilization by over 30% using resource management tools and effective measurement techniques. Improved Pervasive’s professional services project management expertise and implemented PMI certification requirement for all project managers. Leveraged PM’s, Legal, Sales and Engineering to develop an internal methodology for professional services labeled PRIMe (Pervasive Rapid Implementation Methodology). My continual improvement strategy and commitment to customer success has allowed me to transform the Pervasive Professional Services department to a reliable and successful world class delivery team.

I served as senior consultant for professional services group within a product company. I supervised all technical aspects of professional services engagements including architectural design and served project management on most engagements. I supervised software development and participated in personnel evaluations, hiring and firing decisions. I helped build professional services collateral and assisted with marketing and sales efforts associated with professional services. I assisted department director with budget and FY planning for the professional services team. I also delivered professional services engagements overseas in Europe, Asia and Africa.

I directed the development of custom software modules to shrink wrap marketable product level, evolved from professional services organization engagement. The solutions were originally delivered as custom software by professional services consultants. The solutions were then transformed into products by more senior members of the professional services consultant team. The productized solutions than became an 80% solution delivered by the professional services team or a shrink wrapped product sold directly to customers. Development was centered on Microsoft’s .NET platform and focuses on mission critical business solutions both Web and non-web based. In this capacity I performed professional services team management, technical design as well as code development duties. I tracked costs versus revenue generated to assist myself as well as the executive staff to plan future strategy of the company’s software development.
