I'm a data engineer at a Novo Nordisk production site. During the last few years my work has mainly been focused on the development of data products linked to IIOT data from PLCs and sensors linked to our production equipments. One of the solutions I developed in that context in collaboration with Mads Furbo was nominated for the 2021 DFP Innovation Prize, a cross-site award instituted by Erik Lorin, SVP of Diabetes Finished Products.I have developed multiple low-latency data pipelines in AWS which feed dashboards and notification systems. In September 2023 I was one of three contributors invited to give a presentation to members of the Novo Nordisk OT DHL (Operational Technology - Data Harmonisation Layer) user community, which has 600+ users across all of Novo Nordisk, at an internal ‘SNS deep dive’ where I presented an AWS solution I developed to enable live alarm notifications linked to our factory equipments. The solution used SQS, AWS Lambda (written in Python), Amazon RDS and Grafana, among other solution components.I am very curious and I like to ask questions when I spot things I do not understand. I read a lot, always did. 123 books/year during the period 2013-2020, 100+ pages/day in 2022, 1388 books logged on Goodreads during the decade I used the site (543 of them non-fiction books). Main focus these days is computer science and data engineering. I entered the labour market very late and originally got hired by Novo Nordisk through Project Opportunity, a special program for people with autism spectrum disorders. I'm employed at standard work conditions.
