Dr. Bonnie J. Becker is the Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Success in Academic Affairs at UW Tacoma. In this role, Dr. Becker oversees Academic Success Programs, including the Teaching and Learning Center, University Academic Advising, Office of Digital Learning, Office of Global Affairs, and a range of initiatives supporting student retention, graduation, and post-graduation success. In addition, Dr. Becker is an Associate Professor of Marine Ecology and has worked with over 100 independent study students since 2006. Dr. Becker is particularly passionate about programming that supports the development of students’ sense of purpose and the role of equitable access to quality high-impact practices in driving student success.
