My responsibilities at Timberline Lodge varied from day-to-day. Upon my departure, I concurrently held multiple full-time titles. As the entire HR department, I was responsible for employee recruiting, selection, on-boarding, relations, training, performance management and off-boarding. As the Executive Assistant my duties included support for the President/Area Operator (secretarial and event scheduling and planning) and Postmaster. As Communications Manager my responsibilities included working with the Sales and Marketing team to market internally and externally and to align Company marketing strategies with internal training content. As the Webmaster, I developed and maintained the Company's website. As the Employee Housing and Transportation Manager, I was responsible for selection, management and maintenance of employee housing, as well as coordination and staffing for the employee shuttle. I was fully trained in all functions of the Resort (with the exception of mechanical lift maintenance) and was able to jump in as needed to cover during times of lower staffing.

My responsibilities included full-cycle accounting from revenue audits through financial reports. I also handled much of the HR duties including payroll, benefits and employee relations. I was also the Administrator for the condominium owner's association and handled all condo-related accounting and executive assistant duties.

I started working at the Deli the summer after I turned 14. I started as a sandwich maker and general laborer. I continued to work through the school year on weekends and holidays. The summer I turned 15, they promoted me to manager - a titled I held for the next 4 years. My duties included everything from opening the deli in the morning, to hiring and managing staff, ordering, inventory management, cash management, quality assurance, product development... and of course, cleaning up at the end of the day and closing the Deli at night.
