About Brenda Marrow

I created a computerized case management assessment program for the medicare population, which was nominated for the most innovative health program that year. I created and managed the first School-Based Asthma Case Management Program for an elementary, junior and senior high school in New Orleans. LA, I established JCAHO Accreditation for a staffing and home care agency. I consulted for school systems, home care, hospitals and chamber of commerce businesses. I established a healthcare consortium for the river parishes in LA. created, and managed summer camps for children with asthma and juvenile diabetes. Along with support groups for children with asthma and juvenile and their families. I lead seminars and health symposiums I started my own nurse case management and consulting business, "Excel Health Management" And I established a proactive model for case management.As the Executive Director for the Community Alternative Care Management program, I established a NC statewide Care Management program for managed care to positively impact the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I obtained the certification from NCQA and passed the readiness review to implement this program for Medicaid recipients with I/DD. Presently, I am implementing the managed care program, hiring staff, marketing, and promoting excellence in practice. Importantly, incorporating linkages to create a proactive, innovative, comprehensive, holistic, positive health and quality of life outcome driven and sustainable program. Focusing on providing a quality service that encourages, and empowers the individual to obtain their highest level of productivity as they realize their abilities to accomplish their goals with supportive systems. I have been a nurse for 43 years with over 30 years in home care, over 25 years in case management, over 20 years in management, 10 years in health education, 10 years in as a consultant and 5 years as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
