My main research activity concerns radiological and nuclear threat and risk assessments, particularly linked to cases of illicit trafficking of RN materials. As an expert in that field, I have been consulted by the IAEA Division of Nuclear Security, Europol and Interpol to discuss illicit trafficking trends. I have been involved with international nuclear forensics work as a member of the Nuclear Forensics International Technical Working Group. I worked with nuclear forensics at the national and international level and was involved in both bilateral and multilateral projects.I am now retired from FOI, but I still do occasional tasks for them. I am also since more than 20 years a member of the RN Medical Expert Group at The National Board of Health & Welfare where my main activity is posting to the group about incidents and developments concerning radionuclear hazards around the world.
