I am a barrister practising across the fields of employment, professional discipline, commercial, and personal injury law. I welcome instructions in all of these areas and also to conduct or advise on investigatory processes.Before coming to the bar I spent a number of years in academia, obtaining a doctorate in law from Oxford and providing research consultancy to external projects funded by the European Commission, ILO, and Qatar Foundation.I have also acted as national rapporteur for the UK in comparative research projects relating to individual labour dispute resolution (hosted by the Japan Institute of Labour Policy and Training, in Tokyo), the effects of the European financial crisis on collective labour (through the Commission funded INLACRIS academic network, in Budapest), and on variations in the application of EU Regulation 261/2004 across the member states (hosted by the Department of European Legal Studies at the College of Europe, in Bruges).I also have five years' experience of teaching a mix of public law, international human rights law and comparative legal method at Oxford and in Paris.
