I worked with a group of high net worth donor in the Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund (SV2), a venture philanthropy fund which was part of Silicon Valley Community Foundation. As the SV2 Officer I coordinated grant application reviews, working with committee chairs, donors and area nonprofits.I also had a portfolio of donors I work with as their "Philanthropy Manager."The foundation I worked for was actually "Community Foundation Silicon Valley," which merged with the Peninsula Community Foundation and became "Silicon Valley Community Foundation." The merger happened shortly after I left the company.

I played a key role in getting this new rural community foundation up and running. I created policies and procedures as well as marketing collateral and development plans. I was the main spokesman for SRCF during my time there, giving several television and radio interviews and over 20 community presentations.I solicited funds and managed relationships, working closely with the Executive Director or Interim Executive Director and members of the Board.SRCF had assets of $37K when I joined the foundation and over $1M by the time I left.
