• Deputy Director for Architecture, Engineering, and Campus Systems at the U.S. Capitol.• Managed the oldest continuing Architecture and Engineering practice in America. Delivered a wide variety of designs including presidential inauguration stage, replacement wall fabric in U.S. House of Representatives chamber, and preservation of Capitol Building stone. • Manage facility operations for high voltage electrical distribution, emergency power generation, building automation system across 19M Square feet of real estate, legislative voting alert system, the congressional cable television system, U.S. Capitol Christmas tree, and over 1600 streetlights. • Established historic preservation strategic advisory board to bridge divides between preservation architecture, museum curator, and facilities operations stakeholders.

• Program Manager for U.S. Capitol Complex Design and Construction Projects• Completed comprehensive analysis of our facilities and laid out a program to maintain and modernize these assets while meeting budget and energy savings targets.• Outlined a five-year staffing plan to meet reduced FTE and payroll targets. In 2013 the department was three years into the plan and meeting the desired staffing levels and cost.• Collaborated with the director and our supervisors to achieve 30 percent increase in employee perception of “management’s priority on safety” through a comprehensive safety culture transformation effort. • Competitively selected to participate in the Partnership for Public Service – Excellence in Government Fellowship senior executive service candidate development program.

• Achieved on-time groundbreaking for a 580,000 SF Major Inpatient Expansion and 265,000 SF Cancer Center by implementing a program management plan for forty enabling projects, by leasing and building out new facilities, then executing over 400 physician and staff moves.

• Recognized by client for consistently outperforming other contractors on the Duke Raleigh Hospital campus in the areas of customer service, quality of work, and on-time performance.• Achieved the stretch goal of Four Zero’s: no money losers, lost time accidents, environmental incidents, nor ethical breeches through strict implementation of project controls for safety, quality assurance, environmental management, and financial management.

• Led the successful design and construction of a 72,000 SF outpatient women’s and general imaging center utilizing design-build delivery method.• Managed 125,000 SF bed tower project, which was recognized for excellence in design and planning with a Modern Healthcare Magazine Design Award Citation.
