Definition and execution of composite subcomponent and component level testing at internal and external test houses including stiffness, strength and impact testing. Design to cost activities for several test set ups and tests. Supervising external test engineers, students and a thesis project.Responsibilities:- Budget: C-Series test budget- Personnel: Technical 1 employee and 1 student Achievements:- Within 2 weeks I defined and successfully executed a stiffness verification test. - For external tests I independently wrote technical test plans, got quotations from external international test houses, negotiated a 20% cost reduction of the best bid and sourced a test house that finalized the testing. - Generating (B-basis) design allowables at three different environmental conditions based on ASTM test norms (test program including over 1000 specimens).- Defining and executing sub component testing in line with the certification scope.- I succeeded in driving the supplier selection process for a full-scale component test by coordinating the supplier, the customer and internal senior management in order to reach the best price/quality balance. This included design to cost activities resulting in a cost reduction of 300k€. - I defined, recruited and supervised a 6-month master thesis student project (Environmental conditional behavior of CFRP properties).
