Bokyung Kim, PhD is leading Simple Steps' career development and self-development programs for female professionals as a Program Director. She believes that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. She joined Simple Steps in 2019 to pursue the mission of supporting immigrant women to continue their careers. Her current works are supporting job-seekers, building communities, and nurturing an environment where everybody can pursue their careers sustainably. Dr. Kim completed her doctorate in Psychology at Stanford University where she developed behavioral interventions that promote self-control and long-term perspectives. She explored the brain mechanisms underlying impulsiveness and self-control. She gives workshops/lectures/talks to schools, organizations, and parents, addressing a variety of topics, including self-control, habits, brain development, and mental health.
