Effectively interacts with the customer on 3 levels: As Product Specialist, IT Services delivery manager & Relationship manager• Reports back to business on status of issues and changes so that IT better supports the business• Delivers cost effective/quality IT services that are of a measurable value to the customer• Challenge the way a technology is used within the business by applying their understandings of the business and the underlying IT services in order to maximize ROI • Plan and schedule resources within team to deliver application services to the business in line with the directives and standards set by their line manager• Capture and Translate business requirements for input into IT architectural and design processes• Monitor & report on SLA performance to ensure IT service is aligned to business requirements• Escalate to their line manager critical incidents/ problems logged to ensure minimal impact to business.• Act as the point of contact with 3rd party technical account managers with regards to tracking issue resolutions• Assist in planning and organizing technical resource to deliver solutions to business requirements and/or problems.• Oversees the monitoring and administration tasks of specific systems as per daily, monthly schedules to maintain uptime and business continuity.• Reports to their line manager on daily activities & blockages to highlight potential problems/incidents.• Adopts the customers’ terminology rather than the current techno centric focus so that business needs are better translated into technical solutions• Knows what the division/ dept./ section is planning next and provides the necessary technical consultation• Knows what challenges the customer is facing and in doing so can propose technical solutions that are more in line with what the business really needs Show less
