The ERP Finance and Logistics (FILO) Functional Analyst is responsible for gathering business requirements for a wide range of system and process improvements in all municipal departments. The analyst meets with stakeholders to do requirements gathering and document functional specifications. The analyst works closely with developers to accomplish solutions and ensures solutions meet requirements. The analyst assists with prioritization of development items across multiple business units with finite development resources.

The Systems Analyst acts in the role of project manager for major software implementation initiatives. The analyst conducts research, develops and implements information systems development plans, policies and procedures, and provides advice on a wide range of information systems issues.

The Director of Planning, Assessment, and Reporting is responsible for the implementation and management of information systems to provide data analysis and reporting for marketing, evaluation, and reporting functions as determined by external professional accrediting organizations, university, campus and School of Education decision makers. The Director produces data reports that provide systematic, accurate, timely, and critical information about students, instructors, courses, and programs in the School of Education for management and planning purposes.

The UAA Office of Institutional Research deploys SharePoint 2013 and SQL Server Reporting Services 2016 to deliver automated, dynamic data reporting to all employees in the institution. The Research Analyst utilizes technical and analytical skills to initiate and perform special research projects required by institutional priorities. The analyst creates data collection systems to develop and maintain special data warehouses and collects and uses data to develop predictive models to assist UAA in decision-making. The analyst provides consultative services to departments and creates specialized reports to assess institutional effectiveness through performance indicators and outcome measures that utilize comparisons with peer institutions, national standards, and other benchmarks. The analyst designs and electronically collects management information from data stored in various UAA transactional systems and the IR data warehouse. The analyst designs and implements strategies to collect necessary data that does not reside on UAA or UA system electronic databases. The analyst generates information to support completion of internal and external surveys and recurring office reports and assists in the establishment and attainment of office goals, objectives and priorities.

Working under the general direction of the Dean, the data manager directs and coordinates operational and research data reporting and interpretation initiatives for the college. The data manager designs, develops and maintains the college web-based accountability data system and intranet website containing frequently used, vertically integrated business intelligence reports utilized for assessment and accreditation activities and to facilitate student success and ensure effectiveness of student recruitment and retention activities. Acting as project manager and programmer, the data manager works closely with involved College faculty and staff users to design, test, and implement solutions to accomplish requirements for new data collections and reports within the COE web-based accountability data system and intranet website in various areas of college operations and research initiatives. The data manager monitors and prepares consistent and sustainable responses for college assessment and accreditation reporting requirements. The data manager oversees document imaging activities and manages lists of college affiliated students, alumni, faculty, staff, and donors and facilitates communications with college stakeholders and audiences.

This position is responsible for office functions, supervising employees and event coordination under the direction of the executive officer for system governance. The administrative coordinator designs and develops web based database applications used for purposes like tracking travel authorizations, travel expense reports, and conducting online surveys and elections. The administrative coordinator is required to respect confidentiality and use sound judgment, tact, and discretion in dealing with administrators and clients. The administrative coordinator must prioritize and complete requests for clerical and administrative support from administrators and governance officers. This position is the primary staff person supporting the University of Alaska Staff Alliance and Statewide Administration Assembly. They are responsible for managing cost center functions at that department; they maintain soft ledgers and monitor separate organizational budgets that included large volume and complex travel, reconciliation and revisions, and purchasing using the financial module of the Oracle/SCT Banner administrative computer system.
