Vice Chancellor For Student Affairs & Enrollment Management

The Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management is responsible to the Chancellor for providing visionary leadership and strategic direction to the enrollment and student affairs divisions for graduates and undergraduates in support of the academic mission of the University. The Vice Chancellor manages a budget in excess of $25 million and supervises approximately 300 staff, including administrative professionals, directors, classified staff, and student workers in the areas of Admissions & Recruitment, Campus Dining, Career Services, Center for Student Success, Center for Teaching & Learning Excellence, Financial Aid, Horace W. Moody, Sr. Intramural & Recreational Sports Complex, the “Human Jukebox” Marching Band, Student Orientation & Leadership Development, Residence Life & Housing, Smith-Brown Memorial Union, Student Health Center, Student Life, Student Programs & Greek Life, Student Media, Student Organizations, University Counseling Center and University Events. The Vice Chancellor works collaboratively to support related service missions, enrollment management, orientation, recruitment and retention. The Vice Chancellor also plans, develops, manages, and administers programs and strategies for enrollment management and student affairs that support the University's strategic plan and mission and collaborates with academic and campus leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to recruit, retain, and serve a vibrant and diverse student body. The Vice Chancellor chairs the Enrollment Management Council and develops a comprehensive enrollment management plan that complements both Southern University’s strategic goals and the Southern University System's strategic priorities, in collaboration with Academic Affairs, to coordinate and facilitate a cross-divisional, cooperative, and integrated approach to recruitment, admissions, enrollment, persistence, and degree completion across all academic colleges and programs.
