I have pivoted in my career, but everywhere I go I face the toughest issues head on.When I worked at Burger King I focused on teamwork and morale to get more accomplished in a shorter period of time and with fewer people. This lowered handle times overall for the store which in turn increased customer satisfaction.When I worked at PayPal I helped implement a new process using Optical Character Recognition to automate low skill tasks. Then I trained the rest of my coworkers how to optimize the software we used. These helped to decrease department handle time by over 25% resulting in more cases worked and saved over $200k per year in man hours.As a risk specialist for Inflection I self-taught myself SQL so I could get the data I needed to locate and resolve issues. Using this I discovered an action that was driving a plurality of the chargebacks we received and was able to work with the product and development teams to remove confusing profile features that were causing this problem. I also found an issue with refund logic for transactions that already had a prorated refund and in some cases caused transactions to be refunded repeatedly over the course of a two weeks. I worked with the card issuer to return almost $20k in excessive refunds that were issued by this faulty automated task. These prevented the issues from occurring further which saved the company money.As a Security Analyst for Inflection I tackled the vulnerability management program by finding ways to automate ticket creation so I could focus more time on vulnerability remediation. I learned the IT tools in order to find the discrepancies between their systems and our security scans to help resolve outstanding tickets. This helped increase the company’s overall security posture.
