As a resident assistant, I facilitate a positive living/learning environment by:-Demonstrating positive leadership in the residence halls and as a member of the NDSU community-Assessing and Responding to the needs of residents-Promoting the growth and development of residents and facilitate their connection to the residence hall and campus community-Developing and maintaining a hall environment which is conductive to personal well being and success-Ensuring adherence to community standards in order to help maximize residents' academic and personal success-Working Collaboratively with staff and leaders in the building, and other staff members in the Department of Residence Life-Attend to administrative responsibilities-Assume responsibility for personal learning and development in the RA role

Directed on average, 100 counselors and support staff in daily activities at camp. This included:-Leading large group gatherings-Directing games-Discussion of conduct issues with staff-Planning of all major camp activities-Communication with other departments to implement planned activities

Seasonally maintained the grounds and facilities of Breezy Point Resort in Breezy Point, MN. This included daily garbage and litter disposal, lawn care, and miscellaneous upkeep tasks around the resort grounds.
