Livonia City Hall

I proudly served the citizens of Livonia over the course of two four-year terms from 2012 to 2019. I spent 2 of those eight years as Council Vice-President, to start my second term. During my tenure we accomplished many great things and I am proud of our stewardship of the City's legacy, progress, financial position and the quality of life we enjoy in Livonia. Some of the greatest highlights include updating the City's Master Plan, establishing the Greenleaf Commission on Sustainability and the construction of the Fallen Heroes Monument at Larry Nehasil Park. I leveraged my experience in the architecture profession to directly influence construction projects that shaped our community, consistently raising the level of design, improvement of materials and overall quality of the developments. I am proud of the work I did for the City of Livonia and continue to look for opportunities to help our City.In addition to serving as a member of the Committee of the Whole, I was Chairman of the Economic Development, Community Outreach and Strategic Planning Committee, Vice Chair of the Capital Improvement, Natural Resources and Waste Management Committee and also a member of the Infrastructure and Community Transit Committee. I represented the City of Livonia as the voting delegate to SouthEast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG) and established many relationships with peers in other communities.

I spent almost five years at OHM Advisors working to grow the Architecture group in the Livonia office, in addition to supporting other studios, including the Mount Pleasant and Nashville offices. The scope of work over that time included various roles, including studio management, business development, business operations, project management and project design responsibilities.

I joined the Livonia Chamber of Commerce as a small business owner and found great value in it to help me expand my network and improve my skills. I was added to the Board of Directors in 2010 after being named the Ambassador of the Year in 2009 and had the privilege of serving with the Board for 6 years. The Livonia Chamber is truly one of the finest Chamber organizations in the state.
