I am studying in the Neurophysiology of Movement Laboratory at CU Boulder in the department of Integrative Physiology.

Coordinated the advancement of several concurrent, internally derived research and development projects through the stage-gate process and into the market with deliberate focus on speed and funding. In consultation with the leadership team, recommended internal research and development projects for commercialization based on the company innovation strategy, while considering current market needs, trends, and opportunities for funding. Member of innovation group focused on developing unconventional, interdisciplinary approaches to solving society’s technical challenges (e.g., non-invasive sensing for human health).

Pitched, received funding, and served as primary investigator for the company’s first internal research and development project (multi-disciplinary analysis and optimization technology related to improving human health and wellness). Supported a toolset development project for systems-level battery design optimization for aerospace applications as part of an AFWERX Agility Prime Phase II STTR.

Studied the effects of various design parameters on cooling performance of additively manufactured nozzle coolant channels within a nuclear thermal propulsion rocket engine, via SolidWorks (CAD), Ansys Fluent (CFD), and MATLAB.

Created CAD models (SolidWorks) for 3-D printing of lab equipment. Novel test tube rack design resulted in 96% cost reduction in manufacturing and procurement for the research group.

Built upon previous work to develop and integrate a novel subsonic/supersonic nozzle model (MATLAB) into the NASA GRC “1-D Thermodynamically-Coupled Air-Droplet Icing Wind Tunnel Model” (TADICE) software.

Developed a novel subsonic/supersonic nozzle model (MATLAB) into the NASA GRC icing wind tunnel software. Selected as “Top 5 Intern” (of ~160 NASA GRC interns) to present the above accomplishment in the 2019 NASA GRC “GlennTalks Live” intern presentation competition.

Recipient of the 2019 OSU College of Engineering ECS Student Impact Award, an annual distinction given to a student who made an exemplary and unparalleled impact on a company during their stay as a co-op or intern (see below for details).
