As a member of Senior Leadership I partner with our C-Suite and department managers to align all HR initiatives and offerings with organizational goals, including workforce development, compensation philosophies, budgeting, benefits, open enrollment, HRIS, and personnel issues. I also lead our talent acquisition efforts, engaging with and recruiting the best talent in the process safety and automation sectors.My previous roles with aeSolutions include time as the HR Generalist for the Alaska office (January 2013-August 2015) and the HR Manager (2015-2021).

The Alaska SHRM State Council promotes the purposes of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) by providing a structure for the over 800 SHRM members in the State of Alaska to consult together concerning the affairs, needs, activities, and problems of SHRM in the State and to adopt programs that will promote the progress and welfare of SHRM and the HR profession as a whole.As the Director, I led the State Council Board in achieving our mission and vision of serving HR professionals throughout the the state. I stepped down in June 2019 due to relocating out of state, and served as an advisor to the Board through the end of 2021.

As the Legislative Director sitting on the Council's Board of Directors, I monitor and share developments in local, state, and Federal legislation that will have an impact on employment law. I also serve as an advocate for SHRM's positions on key issues.In 2017 I was chosen as the Director-Elect for the State Council's Board, and stepped into the Director role in 2018.

Castle Resume Services was a resume and cover letter writing and job search consulting service serving both Anchorage, Alaska and Vermont. I partnered with clients from a wide variety of industries, backgrounds, and experience levels, and provided powerful, effective, and affordable documents that gave a leg up in the job search. I also provided one-on-one interview preparation and job search strategy sessions, as well as presentations for organizations and groups. I also consulted with small businesses on their hiring processes. I learned the business' needs and wrote detailed, professional-grade documents including job ads, interview questions, and hiring workflow documents that helped small business owners make smart hiring decisions.In 2017 I wound down Castle Resume Services to focus primarily on growing and leading within the HR field.

City Market, Onion River Co-op, is a 16,000 sq. ft. community-owned food cooperative with 190+ employees. As Burlington Vermont's only downtown grocery store, City Market provides a critical service to the community by providing conventional, organic and local products at a fair price to all. The Co-op is also dedicated to supporting the local economy and enhancing the sustainability of agriculture, working with over 1,000 Vermont vendors to feature the widest selection of local products in the state.I managed City Market's recruiting and hiring process, from tracking and posting open positions to maintaining the applicant database to interviewing and selecting candidates. I also processed new hire paperwork, led new employee orientations, maintained the employee database, designed, developed and delivered trainings for employees and managers, and reported on key HR metrics.

The Boston office of SNI Companies included Administrative, Accounting, and Technical divisions and provided professional contract and direct-hire services to companies throughout the greater Boston area.I ran a full-cycle desk, sourcing and recruiting qualified candidates and interviewing them for potential opportunities, as well as conducting new business development through cold-calling and lead generation/qualification. I worked primarily with administrative and accounting positions, placing professionals in temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire roles. During my time with SNI, I focused our recruitment efforts on local colleges and universities, and presented to groups of college and high school students, providing tips and strategies for their job searches, interviewing skills and resume writing.
