I serve as an Alumni Advisor for the Sigma Pi Fraternity at Old Dominion University. Prior to ODU, I served as the Chapter Director for Sigma Pi Chapters at Ferris State University and Western Michigan University. In my role, I advise the Chapter and represent the International Headquarters on the campus level. Because of my work, I have been recognized with many awards including Western Michigan University's Golden Bronco for Student Organization Advisor of the Year (2002, 2004), Western Michigan University Greek Advisor of the Year (2003), Ferris State University Greek Advisor of the Year (2007), and the Donald K. Marchaund Outstanding Alumni Award at Old Dominion University in 2010. In 2014, I was awarded the NIC Alumni Award of Distinction for my dissertation research and my work as a Chapter Director. I was also awarded in 2012 as the Sigma Pi Chapter Director of the Biennium.

Oversee Diversity and Inclusion initiatives at VWU including: Developing and relaunching Safe Space Training for Faculty/Staff and a Safe Space Training for undergraduates; developed unconscious bias training for Faculty/Staff; developed a Bias Incident report form; and, promoted faculty development programs focusing on diversity and inclusion.

Inaugural Director of Wesleyan Engaged. Increased service learning and civic engagement in courses by 27% in the first year in position by working with Deans, Chairs, and Faculty. Lead the successful 2020 Carnegie Classification Designation application for the campus. Increased community service events for student organizations and students by 34% with off-campus partners. Created an on-campus system of tracking civic engagement and service learning for faculty, staff, and students to track the over 21000 hours of engagement completed per year. VWU Representative to the Volunteer Hampton Roads Board. SACS-COC delegate from Virginia Wesleyan University. Received perfect scores and recognition for ALL In Campus Democracy Plan.

Report to the Executive Director of Academic Enhancement and the Associate Vice Provost. Serve as a point person in advancing current academic initiatives to the ODU campus and the 25,000 students. Represent Academic Enhancement at meetings throughout campus. Collaborate with the Office of Housing and Residence Life to develop and assess learning communities. Increased the number of learning communities from 18 to 32 (43.8% increase) between F15 and F16. Work with the ePortfolio coordinator to increase the number of students using ePortfolios on the campus.

Serve as the primary academic advisor to all students within the ODU Honors College. Develop academic success plans for students who do not achieve the Honors College minimum grade point average. Aid Academic Enhancement in developing academic and retention programs for all ODU students.

Report to the Vice Provost for Planning and Institutional Effectiveness. Research Assistant in the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment. Assist with the Southern Associate of Colleges and Schools (SACS) for the 2012 reaccreditation process. Staff member on the SACS Student Affairs Committee, Faculty Credentialing, and the Academic Degree Programs Committee. Served on the SACS Commission on Colleges team that oversaw the reaffirmation process that ended with no recommendations from the on-site committee. Wrote and edited sections of the Old Dominion University SACS off-site report. Assisted in the review and entry of part-time and full-time faculty into the Faculty Academic System (FAS) to provide academic reports for SACS and the University. Worked extensively in Xitracs to upload narratives and evidence for SACS standards

Responsible for recruitment of new Master’s and Doctoral students in the Higher Education program.
