Responsible for state strategies for development and human rights, managing public policies such as: the Sustainable Development Goals / 2030 Agenda (http://www.ods.ma.gov.br/), "Mais IDH", 40+ programs focused on reducing social innequalities (http://www.maisidh.ma.gov.br) and socio-environmental policies for traditional peoples and communities (Indigenous and Quilombola).Main achievements:- According to "Radar IDHM" report, Maranhão had the 8th best variation in the Human Development Index in Brazil between 2012 and 2017 (the latest available data, according to IPEA)- Education: More than 20 thousand young people, adults and elderly people literate in 15 municipalities - Health: 6.78% reduction in the number of child deaths in the first year of life - Basic Sanitation: Universal access to water provided in 7 municipalities, with the implementation of full systems, supplying more than 11 thousand households + 71 Simplified Water Supply Systems inaugurated- Rural housing: 3,000 housing constructed in rural areas of 30 cities - Family farming and environment: More than 11,500 families benefited from socio-environmental programs and technical assistance in rural extension (from which: 1,800 indigenous families and 300 quilombola families)- Adoption of the SDGs as a strategic government agenda, included in two multi-annual State Plans, as well as in long-term planning (Maranhão 2050).
