Manages team to ensure reliability of auto interior products. Works with Development colleagues to understand and translate customer needs into reliability requirements. Leads team to deliver on reliability assessments and recommendations to improve product performance, drive innovation, and show reliability growth.

Lead early stage reliability activities within research and development programs, focusing on outlining product and/or process requirements, assessing technical solution paths, identifying critical failure modes & physics of failure mechanisms, and design & analysis of experiments for risk mitigation and demonstrating reliability growth.

- Responsible for methods development for new experimental testing needs including fixture design, external product ordering, and test fixture assembly- Methods development also included devising and documenting standard procedures for use- Characterized a variety of materials via mechanical testing methods and equipment- Materials included glass, ceramics, polymers, and sandwich structures- Characterization methods included internal methods, ASTM standards, and investigatory techniques where standards were developed and documented- Test equipment included load frames with multiple testing fixtures and custom designed equipment- Analyzed, interpreted, and documented data for customers and internal technical reports, and presented findings to scientific community- Continually worked with other scientists and technicians to satisfy customer needs

- Developed insight into AT durability and thermo-mechanical behavior- Calculated axial skin stress on AT filters during oven thermal shock and engine testing to identify potential correlations between test methods- Conducted oven thermal shock experiments to understand the effects of passivation elimination in AT filters- Derived equation to calculate heating & cooling strength values from a given room temperature strength value and cooling elastic modulus curve- Designed and assembled chiller system to cool periphery of filter during high temperature testing and force high temperature gradients within the filter

- Designed experimental test method and fixtures for research work on porous aluminum foam- Research equipment included a load frame coupled to a LabView data acquisition system and camera setup for virtual strain measurements- Analyzed and interpreted data for graduate thesis and presented work to thesis committee- Educated other students on testing equipment and data acquisition
