Founded by international banking veteran and native Houstonian Bob Blades in 2009, Blades International, Inc. is a Trade Finance, cross-border Broker, and financial advisory firm based in Houston, Texas. The firm specializes in advisory services for exporters and foreign-owned companies in matters of Foreign Exchange, International Banking, Structured Trade and Letters of Credit. They also support Regional Banks.After 30 years with Texas Commerce Bank and JPMorgan Chase, Bob Blades established Blades International, Inc. in 2009. Along with Directors Jack Borland, Sherry Mama, Mike Ryan, and Tom Spellman, the company established a Banking Practice to assist Regional and Community Banks with their International Departments,Trade Finance, Letter of Credit Brokerage, and Foreign Exchange. Bob Blades began his career in 1979 as a Foreign Exchange Intern with Texas Commerce Bank - Houston, where he remained throughout a career dedicated to International Banking. Through the years he served as a Vice President and Manager of the Bank's European Division and as the bank merged to become JPMorgan Chase, as a Senior Vice President and Manager of the Trade Finance and then the International Group.
