As a first generation student in college, I have always had a chip on my shoulder of wanting everything a little more than the next person. I was always taught that you need to work for things and not taking any shortcuts. I started working in construction during the summer of 2018, I wanted to make my own money and become responsible as well as independent. I have been working in construction over the summers, after school on my senior year and during my school breaks as well. It has taught me hard work, discipline, and most importantly responsibility.
