My practice is primarily focused in the areas of civil litigation, real estate, mortgage law and secured lending.I have assisted in matters directly before the Supreme Court of Canada, Court of Appeal for Ontario, and have appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Court of Justice and Small Claims Court. My client base ranges from first-time homeowners to sophisticated corporations seeking trusted legal advice. For me, effective lawyering is all about offering new ways to think about the law in difficult scenarios. I believe it is important not only to read and interpret law, but to question its underpinnings and ensure the best and most innovative solutions can be advanced. Challenging pre-existing norms, thinking outside of the box and always keeping the clients best interests in mind is what I strive for, whether it is in a legal or business context. While at law school, I graduated first in my law program and received two academic performance awards. Beyond law, I also hold directorships at the federal and provincial level of politics, have been published in the area of public international law, and am actively involved in management consulting. Before law school, I have spent over 4 years working with Canada Border Services Agency in varying capacities, while earning my BA (Hons). Additionally, I am actively involved in numerous volunteering projects and always look forward to participating within the community.
