I am an Aerospace Engineer in Training studying at NC State University looking to concentrate my field of work on military Fighter Jet Research and Design. At NC State I am learning a variety of aerospace engineering design applications including but not limited to aerodynamics, aerospace structural design, thermodynamics, etc. Additionally, I have previous experience working on personal performance-based drones to increase mission capabilities by improving aerodynamic flow over wings and fuselage by optimizing the design using CAD software. At NC State, I am a member of the NC State Liquid Rocketry Lab helping to design and construct the plumbing system used to pump RP-1 through multiple systems to power a rocket engine. I am also a member of NC State’s Sailing Team.In my current job, I am working as a technician at the NC State Library Makerspace. My role as a technician involves advising students on their research projects involving new-age technology like 3D printing and laser cutting to conduct research and development at a faster and cheaper rate. Additionally, as a part of the NC State Makerspace, I am using 3d printing technology to test aircraft design structures on drones to find weak points in the designs of aerospace structures to prove the use of 3D printing in aerospace applications.Currently, I am on the hunt for an aerospace engineering internship primarily working with jet aircraft or VTOL/STOL aircraft. My current career goal is to find some type of internship that will allow me to get hands-on experience in aerospace engineering as well as general engineering applications. In this internship, I am hoping to hone my problem-solving and technical abilities. Additionally, I am trying to find an internship that I will be able to work with after graduation who are willing to allow me to continue my education in the future to become more specialized.
