iReportSource is online software as a service (SaaS) that allows businesses to easily document and track safety issues, concerns, audits/inspections, and incidents in the workplace. With 2,300 employees in 25+ countries, joining this billion dollar "start-up" provided unique EHS leadership opportunities. I worked with the executive leadership team to implement a digital EHS compliance management system and defined program expectations for all facilities globally across the enterprise. We then launched a platform to report safety concerns, with integrated follow-up/feedback, and reporting on trends within our facilities driving company responsiveness, accountability and empowering shareowners.We also needed a set of KPIs to track progress. So we developed & measured leading indicators to gauge safety improvement opportunities identified in the workplace. We use these to establish future EHS goals/objectives. For example, safety concern closure rate, audit completion/findings rate, safety committee numbers/meeting attendance rates, and more.Next we created a digital scorecard to measure all of our facilities and gauge our EHS performance and improvement against defined standards. We then engaged/trained shareowners, assigned framework categories to own and score. Establishing this ownership and rhythm for program reviews and metrics results in a culture of accountability and safety ownership at every level of the organization.In 2018 we assessed the West Carrollton manufacturing plant security needs and worked with facility leaders to deploy a full-time onsite security firm to protect our most valuable assets – our people!I was able to identify several Worker Compensation discount programs, implement a transitional work program, drug-free workplace program, workplace violence training/active shooter response plan, applied for an EPA No Exposure storm water permit and modified an existing waste water permit at a manufacturing site.Our current project is to stand up a first aid provider/safety teams at multiple locations to assist co-workers, with evacuations, drills and attend monthly meetings to gauge metrics related to team functions.

GE Aviation - Unison, Dayton, Ohio: Environmental, Health and Safety Coach for multiple manufacturing facilities and office buildings in the Dayton area.In addition to day-to-day EHS leadership in those facilities, I had site-wide responsibility for written safety programs, employee training programs as well as further developing processes that drive injury reduction, improve workplace safety culture and ensure continued safety excellence.I also had the pleasure of ensuring our partnership with OSHA in the VPP continued to set the industry example for leadership commitment and employee involvement. I helped prepare the site for the 2018 VPP STAR recertification onsite visit by OSHA. I was also able to go to other GE sites to help in their VPP recertification efforts.My involvement in employee training and development had me working on a site project where I developed site-specific e-Learning lessons using an adaptive learning model approach which increased training retention and decreased training time across the site.I also organized a Contractor Safety Summit to strengthen the company relationship with contractors and improve their safety performance. This also involved developing a contractor safety scorecard to use across the multi-facility site.I attended the GE Lean Academy program and finished the GE Green Belt Program in early 2018. Lean principles are critical to EHS problem-solving. These tools can help anyone looking to improve their environmental, health and safety management systems as well as assist in root cause analysis for incidents.

I purchased my first franchise business in 2013. CQB, LLC was created for this reason and I used the business to focus on teaching young employees effective management and leadership skills. I also held entrepreneurship workshops where we explored the skills needed to run a small business: employee safety and culture, how to run payroll, social media marketing, calculate COGS, P&L statements, customer experience, sales and more.Key Accomplishments:-Developed Business Plans and Operational Procedures resulting in consistent 65% or less in operational costs. -Managed DMAIC Green Belt (continuous improvement) Project which resulted in improved Inventory Control and reduced food cost by 13% overall.-Created a marketing plan resulting in one of the highest grossing grand openings in 7 years for the franchisor and continuing sales performance levels in the top 5 of all 127 Midwest locations.-Secured accounts for suppliers and vendors to reduce actual operating costs by 16% from projected budget expense.-Was elected Franchise Advisory Committee (FAC) Chairperson by fellow franchise owners in which I represented 127 franchise owners in the Great Lakes region.

Hoffmann & Associates was a safety management consulting firm providing services to industrial clients to achieve and sustain operational excellence through the implementation of effective management systems.Key Accomplishments: -Worked on cross-functional team to create new hire training and orientation process reducing machine downtime by a full shift while increasing training effectiveness on the production floor.-Developed an interactive GAP Tool that identifies and tracks critical management system deficiencies based on OSHA VPP/ANSI Z10 and assists in creating action plans to close gaps. -Conducted VPP Leadership and Management training and OSHA training to an estimated 12,000 US Air Force active duty and civilian personnel over seven years. Received 88th SBW VPP Leadership Coin for exemplary VPP leadership and support.-Developed and delivered multiple written safety programs and training for many industrial sites. -Conducted laboratory/industrial IH analysis including air monitoring for chemical hazards.-Completed several written OSHA VPP program applications resulting in several VPP STAR safe worksite designations, including assisting US Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) with various Technical Directorates to achieve VPP STAR status.

Online safety and health training website providing OSHA safety topics and custom training solutions to individuals and companies nationwide. -Developed and managed online OSHA training programs, sales, and delivery including official OSHA Outreach 10-hour and 30-hour programs for both construction and general industry. -Partnered with University of South Florida to offer official OSHA courses via online training website. -Developed custom training solutions and LMS services for corporate clients such as online Arc Flash (NFPA 70-E) safety training programs for Electrical Diagnostic Surveys (EDS), and building website at www.arcflashtraining.net. -Designed and developed the LMS as official OSHA Education Center. We have been accredited to issue six-contact hours for Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Nurse Practitioners (LPN), and Certified Surgical Technicians (CST) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation for our online OSHA Safety Standards for the Healthcare Industry training program. -Developed an automotive technician’s OSHA Safety program as well as monthly safety podcast service for subscribers.

Responsible for development and maintenance of Environmental Health and Safety program, training/continuing education programs. In doing so, I successfully brought the company from a penalty-rated worker’s compensation premium status to 95% discount group, resulting in savings of $118,000 bi-annually for four years after my start date and lowered the Total Case Incident Rate (TCIR) below national averages. -Initiated Safety Behavior Modification Program designed so employees would recognize unsafe actions and then self-correct deficiencies through a combination of peer to peer feedback, incentive programs, and regular supervisor site assessments.
