Work as bridge between Design Engineering and Operations. Work with Engineering to source the materials and services required for New Products. Acquire materials for development and qualification, and transition those materials to Tactical Supply Chain. Work to provide solutions within the aims of the Strategic Supply Chain team. Find alternate sources and components when needed, and work with Strategic to add new sources when needed. Aside from the NPI Supply Chain requirements, I have also worked on specific projects involving alternate sources, work transfers and shortage mitigation.

Primary responsibilities included working with Business Development to source and quote materials for new business. Worked as a troubleshooter for difficult materials and suppliers, proposing alternate components to customers and working with suppliers to mitigate shortages. Conducted annual quote process and awarded materials to suppliers. Worked to ensure that Approved Supplier certifications and other related documentation were up to date. Worked as supply chain focal for multiple critical customers.

Working with suppliers and engineers to develop new products and implement sourcing and procurement strategies. Develop suppliers and procurement strategies to align with company goals. Support work transfers and provide support for the export of materials to our Mexico facility.

Purchasing electronic components, plastics and metals as well as supplies and services at a Contract Manufacturer for a variety of customers. Responsible for the supply chain and materials for several different customers in accordance with production needs while meeting the contractual obligations for each account. Worked on annual cost savings plans and implemented a new freight strategy. Worked as point person on specific types of commodities at times. Created reports and provided analysis on a variety of subjects.

Began tenure working with New Product Introduction Teams to to source and procure components and manufacturing services for new products and get the pipeline of procurement prepared for regular production and sustaining purchasing. Moved to sustaining procurment working with Contract manufacturers in Asia.

Worked for small company which designed and manufactured multi-monitor graphics cards and software which enable a single computer to utilize and manage 2 or more displays (up to 4 displays from a single card, with the ability to use multiple cards).Duties included:Responsibility for Purchasing, Purchasing staff, RMAs,Doc Control, Receiving and Distribution.Over my time at Appian, we worked with Contract manufacturers in the US, China, Indonesia and Mexico.

Conducted development and training in the finished good and incoming inspection programs.
