Investigating the role of proteins and metals (e.g. Cu, Fe, Zn) in age related neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and motor neurone disease.

Worked in the peptide synthesis division under the guidance of Paul Richardson. Developed skills in protein and peptide chemistry including peptide synthesis, HPLC purification and using mass spectrometry to confirm sequence. Also engaged in biophysical techniques to characterise protein-protein interactions including FRET and fluorescent life time measurements and had exposure to the development of high-throughput assays.

Hired, trained and managed a team of sales officers for the face-to-face marketing and sale of Cutco Cutlery. We were one of the top ten offices in the country that year.
