As the grant specialist for Legacy Advancement, I managed a calendar of 75 grants and grant reports per year, while implementing development processes that allowed Legacy Early College to successfully win, monitor, and report on more than $1,000,000 in grant funds. To achieve these results, I regularly managed grant teams consisting of school leadership and educators, guiding and coaching them through the proposal, site-visit, MOA, and reporting phases of multiple yearly grant processes. Finally, I implemented streamlined CRM processes for Legacy Advancement, fully maximizing their CRM's capacity to monitor and report on key donor data and metrics (including annual giving, proposals-in-process, contact updates, and yearly interactions).

I worked with Northwestern Mutual's professional financial-planning team as we put clients first and planned for their financial future.

I managed the grants and grantor relationships that funded M&G's arts-integrated outreaches, including its K-12 Arts Encounter outreach, a program which grew to serve over 15,000 students each academic year. As M&G's Grant Specialist, I managed the following areas of development:--Prospect Research and Prospect Management--Grant Calendar Planning/Management--Grant Research and Development--CRM Data Recording (Raiser's Edge)--Foundation Staff and Board Development and Cultivation--Grant Progress ReportsIn addition, I was heavily involved in other aspects of M&G's Development process, including:--Sponsorship Development (Research and Writing)--Sponsorship CRM Management (Raiser's Edge)--Constituent Development and Management (Raiser's Edge)--Press Releases (10-15 annually) and Quarterly Publications--E-mail Blasts/Social Media Campaigns As M&G's grant specialist, I raised more than $250,000 in funds and managed the following grantor relationships:--The Jolley Foundation, ScanSource Charitable Foundation, Duke Energy Foundation, PNG Foundation, Fabri-Kal Foundation, Lockheed Martin Foundation, Graham Foundation, First Citizens Foundation, Peabody Foundation, Target Foundation, Wal-Mart Foundation, and the F.W. Symmes Foundation.

I signed up to be a tutor for a variety of subjects, and ended up working with a special needs student for the duration of the spring semester, 2013. The course I was tutoring was Basic Economics, and my student had to pass the class with a certain grade level in order to have the credits to graduate for his major. We worked very well together, meeting every week, and when needed twice per week. My student was able to pass the class with the required GPA at the end of the spring semester.

I worked on the floor preparing rolls of Ramboard floor protection material from the time they were printed to their final assembly for distribution. Developed in 1999, Ram Board was originally designed to protect floors from the heavy demands of the movie industry. It was used on the sets of feature films such as Armageddon, The Hulk, Spider Man, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Word of Ram Board quickly spread to the construction industry where it was put to the test under the rigorous demands of contractors. It is now used by over 1000 supply stores in the U.S. and Canada.

During my first year, I oversaw the security guards at the Museum & Gallery, assisted in lighting maintenance of the 27 fine art galleries and collected gallery assessment data in our electronic database. This past year I was transferred to the satellite location, the Museum & Gallery at Heritage Green, to handle building security; research art history and theory; and create and lead gallery tours.

Interacted with clientele, trained new servers, memorized menus and became proficient at using the computer-based ordering system.
