• Manage and supervise a warehouse staff that includes a warehouse supervisor, warehouse staff, load out operators, and Fork-lift Driver • Work with customers to ensure the prompt off-loading of materials to the warehouse to avoid product melting in trucks and containers and reduce costs.• Communicate with customers regarding the status of products.• Coordinate with Quality Assurance Manager to determine sampling of products to meet the customer needs• Coordinate with Production Manager to determine the order of raw materials processing in order to meet customer requirements• Ensure the proper staffing levels are maintained, and work with the Human Resource department for all termination and performance issues.

I have worked in my family business after I graduated High School. I started at the Norwalk Mattress Company working with my Grandfather manufacturing Boxspings and Mattresses. After learning the process of making the product, I started to help deliver the product to the customers. I would plan out the deliveries that had to be met, and set up the most efficient schedule to complete those deliveries in an eight-hour day. My partner and I would set up the beds, remove the old bedding, and help the customer with any needs they had. I also collected money from the customers, and was responsible for the money balancing at the end of each day. After a number of years of delivering, I was offered a chance to working in direct sales. I sold the bedding to the customers, and also helped with any complaints or concerns they might have had.
