Responsible for operational functions including performance management, leadership development, training, outage planning, employee/labor relations, organizational change and development, implementation of routines to ensure functional effectiveness for all department operations. Reported directly to the Shift Foreman. Promoted to current leadership position through operational and assistant positions inside the Pulp Mill Department and the Chemical Line of Recovery and Utilities.

Accountable for the operation of 3 Recausticizing Plants and 3 Lime Kilns including the burning of Stripper and Non-Condensable Gases.

Operated a Mathieson and an Erco R3 Chlorine Dioxide Generator.

Loaded and unloaded chemicals including Chlorine, Caustic, Rock Salt, and Sulphur Dioxide. Responsible for generator testing in Chemical Area. Operated a Tall Oil and a Turpentine Plant.

Responsible for Kiln and Causticizing testing in area. Also responsible for loading and unloading chemicals including Green Liquor, White Liquor, Sodium Hydrosulfide, Purchased Lime, and Limestone Rock.
