I studied the impacts of exposure to toxic waste and heavy metals, and explored prevention, mitigation, and remediation programs. I generated policy recommendations for mitigating exposure and addressing inequities in lead exposure in children across Chicago community areas. Combined with qualitative interviews, my research generated recommendations for local government staff and community health partners. This experience cemented my passion for environmental justice and my understanding of the intersection of health and the environment.

Child Health Day raised $658k and 8k participants were recruited in 24 hours, yielding 16% fundraising growth year-over-year. Dance Marathon Leadership Conference pivoted to a virtual format in 2020 and engaged 3k attendees, yielding a 234% increase in registration year-over year.• Generated leads for collaboration with programs and partners across 170 hospitals and with external corporate and non-profit partners, including Children’s Hospital Association and Be The Match.
