• Single-handedly Designed/Architect of NBCUniversal's Antipiracy datawarehouse for summarizing infringement data. The backend was built in MysQL with a star-schema design approach. Data was populated via a Java/JDBC ETL engine which also performed data extraction and summarization. Original database size was roughly 1.5TB, summarized to about 50GB of data, which radically improved query performance more than 50 folds.• Built a front-end in PHP/Ajax with search fields to query the datawarehouse and display data in row/column format ready for export to csv. • Designed and developed a multithreaded and distributed Python-based web crawler to recursively search the web for NBCUniversal copyright movies and TV shows with Google's search engine. Used REST to invoke JSON API calls to Google's custom search to retrieve NBCUniversal infringing content, parsing the data with RegEx, and persisting the end-result in a MySQL database. Implemented the multithreading portion via Thread Pool design pattern. • Built a Timeline application, adapted from Simile Timeline, running on PHP's codeigniter framework, to enter/view highlights of activities within the Antipiracy division.• Managed and directed 2 other PHP/Python developers in maintaining C-Link application, a system for logging and reporting online infringing data for the company, as well as developing Firefox plugins and automated scripts for reporting purposes.• Implemented Git for version control.• Database / Linux (Centos) system administration

* Compliance Workbench Blotter Application: Member of a 3-man team to create a Flex front-end interface from scratch to communicate with a Java middle tier cache system. This system was designed to replace Charles River © blotter implemented by Compliance Officers to validate trades submitted by Portfolio managers, as a component of a Straight Through Processing (STP) system.
