In my current role as Communications Specialist at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, I deliver clear, concise, and captivating content that aligns with the firm’s voice and goals. Some of my primary duties include writing articles, press releases, blogs, newsletters, social media posts, and web copy, and ensuring attorneys receive recognition for their stellar work in and out of the courtroom.With seven years of legal journalism experience, I have a knack for finding and crafting compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences and drive engagement. I started my career as a reporter for a legal journal, where I covered all things legal, from high-profile civil litigation to criminal trials in state and federal courts. Later I joined a finance and capital markets publication where I covered corporate bankruptcy and restructuring. Over the years, I have honed my skills in researching, interviewing, writing, editing, and fact-checking, as well as working under tight deadlines and adapting to changing news cycles. I have also developed a strong network of sources and contacts in the media industry and the community.After eight years in journalism, I decided to pursue a new challenge and joined Munger, Tolles & Olson as a communications Specialist. I applied my communications expertise to support the firm's branding, business development, and client relations. I assist in creating and managing the firm's website, social media platforms, and email campaigns, as well as produce and distribute various marketing materials, awards, and newsletters.In my communications and marketing role, I have gained valuable experience in legal communications by working closely with the firm's attorneys on sensitive and complex matters. I have learned how to communicate effectively and ethically in the legal field, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.I'm always eager to learn new skills and explore new opportunities in the communications field.
