Promoted community dialogue by overseeing the coordination of consensus based deliberative forums at Democracy Project institutions throughout the state of Arizona. Key Achievements: • Facilitated forums at over 10 locations across Arizona leading to a report detailing aggregate participant opinions on public policy suggestions. • Certified to facilitate Kettering Foundation and National Issue Forum forums. • Moderated forums on a variety of issues with Arizona Town Hall and the O’Conner House

Represented the student voice of Northern Arizona University to campus administration, faculty, elected state officials, and nationally elected officials. Key Achievements: • Founded the Campus Forum on Sustainability leading to united student leadership positions on proposed sustainability efforts.• Revitalized a strong relationship with students and the student newspaper, The Lumberjack, culminating in a newspaper profile on my work as President. • Delivered multiple speeches to gathers of up to 15,000 individuals.• Participated in numerous boards including the Board of Regents Taskforce on Financial Aid, Campus Committee on Student Engagement, and the Northern Arizona University Alumni Board of Directors.

Represented the 130,000 university students of Arizona and organized on the Northern Arizona University campus on issues of accessibility to and affordability of higher education. Key Achievements: • Empowered over 100 students to represent their views on higher education policy during three annual student lobby days at the Arizona State Capital. • Organized students to present their views on higher education policy at quarterly Arizona Board of Regent’s meetings and annual tuition hearing meetings, which led to policies that increased access to higher education, including the Pledge Program at Northern Arizona University.
