The Evaluation Engineering position was mostly focused on Drill Bits. The Drilling Solutions Engineering position now, in addition to that, involve global Downhole Drilling Tools like Motors, Agitators, Drill Stem products, Stabilization Products, Stroking tools, Directional Tools, Fishing Tools, Coring Services, Intervention and Completion Tools, Service Equipment and Advanced Drilling Solutions including drilling optimization services for Sub Sahara Africa.

Responsibilities:• Providing support for sales functions while expanding downhole tools knowledge all across Sub Saharan Africa with focus to West Africa, including Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Chad, Gabon, Ivory Coast and Ghana. Supports included optimum drill bit selection and Engineering support for various West Africa projects.Duties include:- Providing Bit Run assistance as required - Providing sales support materials - Providing TerraScope (rock strength analysis) output as required - Providing data base support and offset analysis - Performance benchmarking- Parameter Optimisation, including Hydraulics- Post well performance evaluation- Optimising bit selectionProjects include:• Cameroon Field Data Analysis: The project was consisting of analysing bit runs from different companies on and offshore Cameroon, analysing Rock strength and then coming with optimum bit recommendations for 26”, 17 ½”, 12 ¼” and 8 ½” section. The same analysis recommended also optimum running parameters for those bits.• Chad Field Data Analysis: the same analysis was done for CNPC in Chad to recommend optimum bits for 12 ¼” and 8 ½” section.• Ivory Coast and Ghanaian Field Data Analysis: analysis here was to help Ivory Coast customers and surrounding countries, including Liberia, Sierra Leone and Ghana with bit selection.• Equatorial Guinea Field Data Analysis: to assist ExxonMobil with optimum bit selection • Bit runs assistance, including Bi-center bits.• Post bit run analysis to pull lessons learned and optimise for next runs.Additional Qualifications:o Directional Drillingo Soft Formation Drillingo Hole Openingo Bit manufacture, design & developmento Drill Bit Orientationo Drill Bit Intermediateo Drilling Dynamics, downhole vibration analysiso RSS Hydraulics & BHA designo Compressive strength analysis (TerraSCOPE)o Data analysis and Technical Proposals
