My residency training has afforded me exposure to many facets of OMS including orthognathic surgery, trauma, dentoalveolar and implant surgery, TMJ surgery, reconstructive surgery and management of benign pathology. We are lucky with our training at UPMC to cover five hospitals which gives us great case volume and diversification. In addition, I have completed my general surgery internship. This time allowed me to learn valuable skill sets from multiple services (Surgical Oncology, ENT Head and Neck, Trauma, Burn, Pediatric Surgery, ICU) and gain exposure to additional surgical management. I have had the opportunity to be primary surgeon or first assist a high volume of cases well beyond the CODA requirements, giving me excellent operative and patient management experience.
