Art has always been a significant force in my life. As a practicing artist and now as the Community Engagement Coordinator for the Johnson Collection, I engage, research, and find new ways to enjoy this craft. I am able to make new connections with the Spartanburg community both in and outside TJC Gallery, and through handling social media have expanded viewership and collaboration with partners. I am able to be imaginative while designing and creating banners and graphic identities for exhibitions. Working in museums and collections I am constantly surprised by the transformative power art has on a person and their community.
