• Manage multi-million dollar accounts of purchase orders while maintaining due dates and working with suppliers to ensure expectations of quality and precise Bill of Materials. • Communicating with suppliers to confirm quality, timeliness and cost effectiveness of products. • Establish supplier partnership that can benefit both parties through leveraged volume and reduced costs. (Example: $50,000 cost savings negotiated with customer to accept a new version of material with shorter lead time.) • Manage Supplier RFIs, RFQs, and Sourcing agreements. • Liaison between engineering and suppliers. Making sure all specs are accurate and properly meeting customer expectations. Coordinating ECO’s to suppliers, while managing BOM’s to reflect current revision levels.• Establish internal and external routing for subcontract suppliers, showing processes and actions needed to complete the sales order.• Expedite purchase orders with suppliers and required follow up to meet customer request. • Keep continuous communication with multiple suppliers to build relationships and understand status of current business flow. • Recognize and research which supplier would be best suited for potential outsource opportunities and relay the information they need to obtain quotes/lead times. • Negotiate cost effective pricing for purchased parts. • Coordinate material and fabricated parts to be shipped in time to suppliers so they can meet our purchase order assembly deadlines. • Oversee and manage new projects and products being awarded to the supplier to ensure a smooth transition from the start of quoting a part/project to end delivery date.
