I started my work experience with a six year contract in the United States Army. While in the Army I was taught self reliance and determination. Hard work and always finishing the job were ingrained into me. I was sent to a school within the Army to teach me how to be a leader and mentor. While in the school they taught me how to find a persons strengths and weaknesses and how to help them achieve their best while working as a team. Problem solving and working independently were a necessity. After ETSing out of the Army, I took all the skills I had learned and applied them to everything I do. I was fortunate enough to get a job with Costco Wholesale. While there I was offered the opportunity to be a Supervisor and assist in leading one of their departments. Doing that allowed me the opportunity to adjust my leadership skills and abilities. I gained insight and knowledge I never knew I needed and felt that it helped me grow into a better employee and leader. I moved cross country back home and am looking forward to finding a great company to work for. I am eager to continue learning and bettering myself as an individual.
